Bursa Efek Jakarta (BEJ) is the main market for tranding scuritas in Indonesia for both goverment and verifat industry.when a company wants to increase its capital for development it can either borrow from a bank or financial institution or sell part of it, to people who want to invest in it. It can either do this privately, or more usually sell the shares though the stock Exchange which is also called the stock market.
Investor can buy individual shares in different companies or block of shares numbered say from 1-1000 which be called stock hence stock exchange.
There are four types of securitas available for the investor in the public sector,in industry and commerce:ordinary shares, preference share, cumulatve prefence shares and debentures, Which are in fact loans to companis.
